Surah Falaq (Arabic : سورة الفلق )  written ( sura e Falak, surah falak, surah alfalaq ) . Surah Al-Falaq is one of the Meccan surahs. It is five verses. Arranged between one hundred and thirteen surahs. Arranged in the Holy Qur’an before the last. It was mentioned in the hadiths of the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, where he said:

In English (O Uqbah bin Aamer! You will not recite a surah dearer to Allah, and I do not communicate more with Him than that you recite, Say I seek refuge in the Allah of daybreak, and if you are able not to miss a prayer, then do it)Narrator: Uqbah bin Amer, the narrator: Al-Albani.

It was also said about him, and Ahmad and Ibn Al-Drees with an authentic chain of narrators on the authority of Abu Al-Ala Yazid bin Abdullah bin Al-Shakhir, said: A man said: We were with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, was on a journey and chasing after people, and in the afternoon few came. My shoulder said: Say, I seek refuge in the Allah of dawn, and I said, “I seek refuge in the Allah of dawn.” So the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, recited it, and I recited it with him. Then he said: Say, I seek refuge in the Allah of people. So the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, recited it and I recited it with him. He said: “If you pray, then recite them.”

The Prophet ( peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O Uqba Ibn Amer! You will not read Surah I love to Allah, and I do not inform him of that you read Say I seek refuge with the Allah of falaqah, if you can not miss in prayer, do it)

  • According to the Hadeeth, the messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “O obstacle, I will not let you know a Sura that has been revealed in the Torah, nor in Zabur, nor in the Gospel, nor in the Furqan like them, they do not come to you except to read them in it, say that Allah is one of them and say seek refuge in the Allah of the Falak and say seek refuge in the Allah of the people”.

Al falaq

Al-Falaq ( Arabic: الفلق): splitting a thing and making it clear from one another. It is said: He split it and it split.

The Almighty said:

Break the dawn [Al-An’am / 96] فالق الإصباح [الأنعام/96, Allah breaks the seed and the nuclei [Al-An’am / 95] إن الله فالق الحب والنوى [الأنعام/ 95], then it splits, and every part was like a great mountain [Al-Shu`ara’: 63]فانفلق فكان كل فرق كالطود العظيم [الشعراء/63].

And it was said to the reassured person from the earth between two hills: Falaq, and he’s saying: Say:

I seek refuge in the Allah of Falaq [Al-Falaq/1] قل أعوذ برب الفلق [الفلق/1]

That is the morning, and it was said:

the rivers mentioned in his saying: the mother of the one who made the earth a resting place and made rivers through it [An-Naml / 61]

أم من جعل الأرض قرارا وجعل خلالها أنهارا [النمل/61], and it was said: It is the word that Allah Almighty taught Moses, so he split the sea, and al-Falaq: the broken, like the breaking and breaking of the broken and the broken, and it was said al-Falaq: Al-Ajab, and Al-Faylaq also, and Al-Faliq and Al-Falaq: What is between the two mountains and what is between the two humps of the camel’s back.

What is the meaning of al Falaq?

The meaning of “Al Falaq” varies between the exegesis and commentators, and the meaning of the word “Al-Falaq” includes:

  • He is imprisoned in Hell with that name.
  • It is one of the names of Hell.
  • It’s morning.
  • It is creation, and the phrase means: Say I seek refuge in the Creator.

Right: Allah, praise be to Allah, commanded His Prophet Muhammad, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, and he said: I seek refuge in the Allah of dawn, and perhaps in Hell there is a prison called Frak. If this is the case, then his great praise does not indicate that by “Allah of Dawn” he meant some of the alleged dawn and not others, Allah Almighty is that everything comes from His creation, then He must mean everything called Dawn because He is the Master of all things.

surah falaq meaning

In the following, we discuss the interpretation of each verse of surat falaq as stated in Tafsir al-Tabari:

The first verse: “قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ

The Almighty said to His Prophet Muhammad, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him: Say, O Muhammad, I seek refuge in the Allah of dawn from the evil of his creation. And the meaning of Surah Al-Falaq as we explained in the previous section.

Second verse: “مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

Allah Almighty commanded His Prophet to seek refuge from “every evil.” Allah Almighty is the Creator and everything else is created.

The third verse “”.”وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ

If he enters and attacks us with his darkness, he is a dark evil. The commentators differed regarding the darkness of this verse. The Messenger of Allah – may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him – commanded seeking refuge with Allah, and some of them said: It is darker. And some say: It is a planet, and some say: This planet is the Pleiades, and some say: It rises at dusk: it is the moon.

Al-Tabari said in the first sentence: “Allah commanded His Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, to keep away from the evils of darkness, and he is oppressed, and if night enters darkness if the star falls if the moon falls.

He did not specify some of that, but rather the command was generalized, so that every dusk, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, was commanded to seek refuge from its evil if it fell. And he used to say in the meaning of Qab: Gone.

Fourth verse:”وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ

It is the evil of the sorcerers who blow in the knots of the thread when they fall on it.

Fifth verse .”وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

The people of interpretation differ on who is envious who ordered the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to seek refuge from the evil of his envy, some have said: he is every envious of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to seek refuge from the evil of his eyes and himself.

We have to deal with the Holy Qur’an and Elma with its meanings, and what may constitute us from it, and we have already dealt with the interpretation of the verses of Surah Al-Falaq, and we mentioned the meaning of each word, and we knew what the meaning of the Falaq, and we mentioned the dispute over its meaning among the people of interpretation and interpretation.

What does surah falaq mean?

Surat falaq contained a number of purposes and benefits, he said-:

Say, “I seek refuge in the Allah of daybreak. From the evil of that which He created.

And from the evil of darkness when it settles. And from the evil of the blowers in knots

And from the evil of an envier when he envies.”

Here are its main purposes:

  • – Teaching the Muslim to seek refuge in Allah, and resort to him from all that warns him in the things of this world and the hereafter.
  • – The realization that Envy does not harm his envy unless he shows the anger inside him, and acts with his envy, otherwise his Envy does not exceed his sadness with the joy of others.
  • And it is a refuge from Allah.
  • Stay away as much as possible from gossip, because it breaks the bonds of affection between people, and unfortunately, its image in the Quran urges Muslims to seek refuge from the evil of all gossip.
  • A Muslim is spared from every human being who is more harmful than others.

Why was Surah Falaq revealed?

It was said about the curse of surah alfalaq, which was revealed in narration, that the Messenger of Allah – may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him – was struck by magic from the Jews.

He informed him of the location of the magic, so the Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – sent Ali – may Allah be pleased with him – and ordered him to break the contract and recite the verses.

Zayd Ibn Arqam (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: ‘The magic of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is a man of the Jews who complained to him for days, and he said: Jibril (peace be upon him) said:’ a man of the Jews who bewitched you made a contract for you in such and such a well, and he sent someone to bring it to her, and the messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sent it out, and he brought it out, and he brought it out, and he said: so the messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stood up as if he were active from a headband, and he did not mention that Jew and did not see him in his face until he died.

What are surah falaq and surah Naas called?

Surah Al-Falaq and An-Naas are called Al-Ma’widhatayn and Many of the surahs in the Holy Quran have more than one name, due to reasons why we have Surah Fatiha more than ten labels, and this is known in some surahs the Holy Quran, for example, Surah repentance has more than three names as well and so the Surah al-Falaq and the people are called “almaouzatin” because the Prophet peace is upon him:

The messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered me to read the two verses in the course of every prayer. (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi in his Sunnah)

Their name is mentioned in the Sunnah of the prophet and the many hadiths conveyed to us by the distinguished companions.

When was Surah Falaq revealed?

It differed at the time of the descent of Surah Al-Falaq. surah Falak came down after the descent of Surah Al-Fil and before the descent of Surah al-man, it is the twentieth Surah of the Qur’an fractional. Although there is no dispute about the Meccan Surah Al-Fil, the dispute about the time of the descent of the two dates comes from the connection of some interpreters between their descent and the story of Lapid Ibn Al-Asam that occurred in Medina.

Therefore, several commentators denied the relationship between them, such as al-Wahidi and Muhammad Al-Tahir Ibn Ashour, and said that it was Meccan, while Ibn Kathir al-damaski and Al-Suyuti said that it was a civil relationship.
