Also, It was mentioned in the Prophet’s Sunnah the merit of correct and beautiful Quran reading. When the prophet Muhammad listened to the Abu Musa al-Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him), he said:
You have been endowed with one of the melodious voices of the family of Dawūd.

Learning Arabic for Quran Reading
The Arabic language has great importance in Islam; Allah (SWT) chose it from among the world’s languages to be the language of the Quran.

- Distribution of Articulation – It is characterized by the distribution of articulation from the lips to the extremities of the throat; As these articulations are numerous and varied, taking into account the coordination and balance between the sounds of the letters in one word.
- Derivation – The Arabic language enables us to derive words with a certain amount of meaning from one origin. Which saves effort, and saves time for the learner.
- Punctuation & Vowels – They are the only way to pronounce Arabic words and sentences in their correct intended form, contextual variation is caused by the tashkil⟨تشكيل⟩, harakat ⟨حركات⟩, i’jam ⟨اعجام⟩ supplementary diacritics so the speaker’s input is crucial to meet the relevancy of the intended context.
- Highly-Inflectional Language – Arabic is collapsed into just one word due to the abundance of prefixes, suffixes, pronouns. As a matter of fact, Arabic allows up to three consecutive prepositions to precede a word, e.g. the word ‘’وبالوالدين (and with the parents) contains three prefixes: ‘,’ب ‘’و and ‘.’ال
Importance of Learning to Read The Quran Correctly
Ibn Mas’ud narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught me tashahhud taking my hand within his palms, in the same way as he taught me a Sura of the Qur’an, and he narrated it as narrated above.
Hadith [Sahih Muslim 402 e]

Gaining skill in reading the Qur’an is one of the reasons for attaining a high position in Islam, as it has been proven in the Sahih of what Imam Muslim made in his Sahih on the authority of the Mother of the Believers Aisha that the Prophet (P.B.U.H) said:
The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur’an will be with the honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur’an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have two rewards.
