dua for tawaf

It is worth noting that there are many dua for tawaf that are mentioned in the Sunnah, and there are also many common dua for tawaf, so we will discuss in the following paragraphs dua for tawaf;

dua for tawaf

dua for tawaf around

The Kaaba received many supplications and remembrances from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and among these supplications and remembrances are those that are authentically attributed to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

And dua for tawaf of all the usual supplications that originate in his heart and mind, so he prays for what he loves and asks Allah for what he wants, and reminds him of any remembrance he wants.

As long as it is proven from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and among the supplications, remembrances, and sayings whose authenticity is proven from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, are the following:

  • It is Sunnah for the Umrah pilgrim to begin the circumambulation by saying “Allahu Akbar”: It has been proven from the hadith of Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him (that the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, circumambulate the Kaaba while riding a camel.
  • Whenever he came to the corner, he pointed to it with something in his hand and said “Allahu Akbar”), and some scholars said: It is desirable for the Umrah pilgrim if He wanted to receive the Black Stone and begin the circumambulation.

So he could say: (In the name of Allah, and Allah is Great, O Allah, out of faith in You, in belief in Your Book, in fulfillment of Your covenant, and in following the Sunnah of Your Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.) He may repeat this rosary whenever he reaches the alignment of the Black Stone.

  • That the pilgrim performs the Umrah prayer, saying: (O Allah, forgive and have mercy, and pardon what You know, and You are the Most Mighty and Most Generous. O Allah, our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire).
  • It was narrated on the authority of Al-Shafi’i, may Allah have mercy on him, that he said about the most beloved thing said during the circumambulation of the Umrah pilgrim is His saying: (O Allah, give us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire).
  • It is Sunnah for the pilgrim during Tawaf, if he is between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, to supplicate, saying: (Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.)

The most beautiful supplications dua for tawaf

Many supplications are known for Muslims to recite during Tawaf, including:

Among dua for tawaf (Oh Allah, praise be to You, a praise that is sufficient for Your blessings and rewards Your increase. I praise You for all Your blessings, some of which I know and those I do not know, for all Your blessings, some of which I know and those I do not know. In any case, O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad).

Among dua for tawaf (O Allah, protect me from the accursed Satan, and protect me from every evil, and convince me of what You have provided for me and bless me in it. O Allah, make me one of the most generous of Your delegation to You, and force me to the path of righteousness until I meet You, O Lord of the Worlds, and then pray with what I love).

Among dua for tawaf (O Lord, I have come to you from a far country hoping for your kindness, so grant me a favor from your kindness that will make me free of the need for the kindness of anyone but you, O one who is favoured, by favour).

Among dua for tawaf (Oh Allah, lift the weight of our sins from us, forgive us, open for us the doors of your grace and mercy, have mercy on us, give us, and raise us from a position of humiliation to a position of glory).

Among dua for tawaf (Oh Allah, be pleased with us, and be pleased with our parents, and our mothers, with satisfaction that will be filled with all Your grace, benevolence, and generosity. Oh Allah, treat us with what you deserve, and do not treat us with what we deserve, and give us what we ask for above our hopes, make the demands high, and place us in high ranks).

Among dua for tawaf (O Allah, raise our remembrance among those whom You have exalted, and our esteem among those whose status You have exalted, and explain our chests with what You explained the chest of Your Prophet, with an explanation with which we can be assured of your worship).

Among dua for tawaf (Oh Allah, do not deprive us of the best that you have for the evil of what we have. Oh Allah, heal our hearts from diseases, our tongues from falsehood, and our souls from envy, and make us uphold the truth).

Supplications for striving between Safa and Marwa

It is permissible for a Muslim during the Sa’y to say whatever he wants, including: As for the Sa’i, it is Sunnah for the pilgrim who performs the Hajj when he reaches the Sa’i, and specifically when standing on the mountains of Al-Safa and Al-Marwah.

To recite the words of Allah Almighty:

(إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَن يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ”

Then he imitates the state of the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, in his quest, as it is proven that he recited the previous verse and then said

(I will begin with what Allah began with, so he began with Safa, moved on it, until he saw the House and faced the Qiblah, so he united Allah, glorified Him, and said: There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, to Him belongs dominion and to Him is praise, and He is capable of all things. There is no god Except Allah alone.

He fulfilled His promise, gave victory to His servant, and defeated the parties alone. Then he prayed in between, saying something like this three times, then he descended to al-Marwah, until when his feet were planted in the valley, he ran, until when they ascended, he walked, until when he reached al-Marwah, he did so. Al-Marwah as he did on Al-Safa…).

It is permissible for the pilgrim performing Umrah, as long as he has recited these remembrances and supplications, or some of them, to supplicate during the Tawaf and in the Sa’y between Safa and Marwah whatever he likes and whatever he wants, which is good for him in this world and in the Hereafter.

If he does not recite those supplications and supplicates whatever supplications he wants, that is also permissible. It is Sunnah to be busy with the supplications that are proven from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

And it is also permissible for him if a supplication does not come to his mind and he wants to be occupied with remembrance, to recite the Qur’an, as it is the greatest remembrance and the most rewarding for him.

Conclusion

At the end of the text, many of dua for tawaf that we mentioned in detail in the previous paragraphs have been proven from the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in addition to the common dua for tawaf as well.
