What Is The Best Time To Read Surah Waqiah? Surah Waqiah (Arabic:سورة الواقعة ) written (suratul waqia, surah al waqiah, sura waqia )is one of the surahs that the Messenger of Allah – may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him – used to recite in the Fajr prayer. Lady Aisha, the mother of the Believers, may Allah be pleased with her, recommending women to read it, because of its great merit and great reward.

You can read surah e waqiah to get sustenance at the best time as follows. Our Noble Messenger(Allah be pleased with him) mentioned to us when we would read suratul waqia as he mentioned it in the hadith:

Al-Haythami narrated in Mu’jam Al-Zawa’id that Abdullah bin Omar – may Allah be pleased with him – said: “I read suratul waqia to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, and when I reached Farruh and Rayhan, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to me: O Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Ibn Umar.” And among the most authentic of the virtues and secrets of surah e waqiah is what was narrated from the Messenger of Allah – may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him – he said: “Whoever recites surah al waqiah every night, he will never be afflicted by poverty, and I have commanded my daughters to recite it every night.” The doors of sustenance, as in the hadith; Whoever reads it is not lacking, and whoever keeps to it becomes rich. Where it was called in another place Surat Al-Ghana, and the validity of that hadith is considered.

Al-Waqi’a is also considered the best surah to bring livelihood.
Surah e waqiah can be read in the period between dawn prayer and sunrise.
It can be read in the night prayer.

Why was surah waqiah revealed?

Neither the Sunnah nor any of the books of exegesis or the Quran sciences indicate that there is a particular reason for the entire surah of the waqiah, However, there are reasons for some of surah e waqiah :

(In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful)

1- “They will be a multitude from earlier generations (13), and a few from later generations(14)”

﴿بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴾

” ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٣ وَقَلِيلٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ ١٤”

Abu Al-Aliyah and Al-Dahhak said: The Muslims looked at Waj – which is a valley fertile in Taif – and they liked its sediment, and they said: I wish we had something like this, so Allah

The Almighty revealed this verse.

Urwa bin Ruwaym said: When Allah Almighty revealed His saying: “A group of the first and a few of the others,” Omar Ibn Al-Khattab – may Allah be pleased with him – cried and said: O Messenger of Allah, we believe in you and believe in you, and with all of this, few of us survive, so Allah Almighty revealed his saying: “A group of the first and a group of the others.” So, the Messenger of Allah called Omar Ibn Al-Khattab – may Allah be pleased with him – and said: O Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, Allah has revealed what you said, so He made a group of the first and a group of others. Omar said: We are satisfied with our Allah and the belief of our Prophet, so the Messenger of Allah: From Adam to us a group, and from us to the Day of Resurrection a group, and only Sudan from the camel herders who said there is no Allah but Allah. 2- “And repay ˹Allah for˺ your provisions with denial (82)?^“

وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ ( ٨٢)

Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin Omar Al-Zahid told us, he said: Abu Amr Muhammad bin Ahmed Al-Jeezy told us, he said: Al-Hasan bin Sufyan told us, he said: Harmala bin Yahya and Amr bin Sawad Al-Sarhi told us, he said: Abdullah bin Wahb told us, he said: Yunus bin Yazid told me, on the authority of Ibn Shihab He said: Obaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utbah told me that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah – may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him – said: “Have you not seen what your Allah said? He said: I have not bestowed upon My servants a blessing but that a group of disbelievers has become, saying: The star and the stars, so this verse was revealed. When was surah waqiah revealed?

Waqiah surah (Macchi surah) is a Macci surah. It was revealed to our beloved Prophet (P.B.U.H) in Maccah, seven years before He (P.B.U.H) moved. According to certain scholars, it was partially revealed in Madinah and partially in Maccah. The majority, on the other hand, agrees with the disclosure made in Maccah. As a result, it is known as a Macci Surah.

It is in the 27th Chapter of the Holy Quran and has a total of 96 verses.

The people of interpretation unanimously agreed that waqiah surah is Meccan, that is, it was revealed in Makkah al-Mukarramah, except that some say that it contains civil verses. Mecca except four of them – that is, four verses – two verses that were revealed about the Messenger – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – going out to Mecca, and they are: {So, are you anointed with this hadith * and give your sustenance to you? * And a group of others}, [15] As for the order of the surah, it is the forty-sixth in terms of the order of the descent of the surahs, and it was revealed before the revelation of Surat al-Shu’ara’ and after the revelation of Surat Taha, as mentioned by Jaber bin Ziyad.

It is surah al waqiah due to its virtues, that perpetually reading it by thinking and reflecting on its verses, prevents poverty and destitution, brings sustenance, and prevents misery, as it has been called Surat Al-Ghana, and whoever continues to read it is not written by the unaware, because of the intimidation and remembrance of the horrors of the Resurrection, Account, and Punishment, and death, so do not leave the one who reads it an opportunity to be unaware.

It helps to bring livelihood, and the purpose is not only to earn money and money but also to overcome misfortunes.
The Messenger, peace be upon him, kept reciting Surat al-Waqiah, especially at the time of dawn.
It was also pointed out that ‘Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her), recommended reading it carefully and contemplating the verses on poverty and wealth.
Because this helps to bring sustenance and remove hardships and stumbles from human life.
And not only that but it is preferred to read it that he does not write that he is one of the unaware because it is one of the surahs that talk about the horrors of the Day of Resurrection.

It is beneficial for education, guidance, command, and prohibition that guides us to do good and keeps us away from the forbidden, and the one who has a deep understanding of the Quran, its verses, and miracles, is fully aware of all of this.

As for the virtue of Waqiah surah, many hadiths were reported from the Prophet peace to be upon him, all of them are doubtful except for one hadith.

Surah waqiah hadith

This was one of the Surahs that the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, recited. This occurred because of the Surah’s intensity and pressure. According to reports, the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, said:

“On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, said: O Messenger of Allah, He said: I’ve grown old as a result of [Surah] Hud, Waqiah, al-Murasalat, Amma yatasaaloon, an-Naba, and Waidha ash-Shamsu kuwirat at-Takweer.” Al-Albani classed it as authentic – Sahih Al-Tirmidhi.
Whoever recites sura waqia every night, will never be afflicted by poverty. And Ibn Masood (rz) used to order his daughters to read it every night. (Shu’ab al-Iman 4/120, number 2269).
what Ibn Daqiq al-Eid narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas – may Allah be pleased with him – he said: Abu Bakr said: O Messenger of Allah, do you see you have grown old? He said: “Hud, surah waqiah, Al-Mursalat, and what they are asking about have turned me gray,” due to what was mentioned in these Surahs about the fear of the punishment of the Hereafter, and he mentioned the attributes of Paradise.

Sura waqia reminds the Muslim of the Day of Judgment and what Allah has prepared for the righteous believers in Paradise, as well as what He has prepared for the unbelievers in the fires of Hell.

{And you are separated into three groups: the companions of the right, what are the companions of the right? And the companions of the left, what are the companions of the left? And the forerunners are the forerunners}

All these Blessings await those on the Right Hand who are righteous, good-doing believers. They are known as the people on the Right Hand because the records of their deeds will be given to their right hands and they will be known as the fortunate and happy.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

When the Event inevitable cometh to pass,
Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming.
(Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt;
When the earth shall be shaken to its depths,
And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms,
Becoming dust scattered abroad,
And ye shall be sorted out into three classes.
Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand?
And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand?
And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter).
These will be those Nearest to Allah:
In Gardens of Bliss:
A number of people from those of old,
And a few from those of later times.
(They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones),
Reclining on them, facing each other.
Roundabout them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness),
With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains
No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication:
And with fruits, and that they may select:
And the flesh of fowls, and that they may desire.
And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,-
Like unto Pearls well-guarded.
A Reward for the deeds of their past (life).
No frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,-
Only the saying, “Peace! Peace”.
The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand?
(They will be) among Lote trees without thorns,
Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,-
In shade long-extended,
By water flowing constantly,
And fruit in abundance.
Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden,
And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high.
We have created (their Companions) of special creation.
And made them virgin – pure (and undefiled), –
Beloved (by nature), equal in age,-
For the Companions of the Right Hand.
A (goodly) number from those of old,
And a (goodly) number from those of later times.
The Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand?
(They will be) in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water,
And in the shades of Black Smoke:
Nothing (will there be) to refresh, nor to please:
For that, they were wont to be indulged, before that, in wealth (and luxury),
And persisted obstinately in wickedness supreme!
And they used to say, “What! when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised up again?-
“(We) and our fathers of old?”
Say: “Yea, those of old and those of later times,
“All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known.
“Then will ye truly,- O ye that goes wrong, and treats (Truth) as Falsehood!-
“Ye will surely taste of the Tree of Zaqqum.
“Then will ye fill your insides therewith,
“And drink Boiling Water on top of it:
“Indeed ye shall drink like diseased camels raging with thirst!”
Such will be their entertainment on the Day of Requital!
It is We Who have created you: why will ye not witness the Truth?
Do ye then see?- The (human Seed) that ye throw out,-
Is it ye who create it, or are We the Creators?
We have decreed Death to be your common lot, and We are not to be frustrated
from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not.
And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises?
See ye the seed that ye sow in the ground?
Is it ye that cause it to grow, or are We the Cause?
Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry powder, and ye would be left in wonderment,
(Saying), “We are indeed left with debts (for nothing):
“Indeed are we shut out (of the fruits of our labor)”
See ye the water which ye drink?
Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We?
Was it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks?
See ye the Fire which ye kindle?
Is it ye who grow the tree which feeds the fire, or do We grow it?
We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts.
Then celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme!
Furthermore, I call to witness the setting of the Stars,-
And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,-
That this is indeed a Qur’an Most Honourable,
In a Book well-guarded,
Which none shall touch but those who are clean:
A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.
Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem?
And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false?
Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,-
And ye the while (sit) looking on,-
But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,-
Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from the (future) account,-
Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)?
Thus, then, if he is of those Nearest to Allah,
(There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights.
And if he is of the Companions of the Right Hand,
(For him is the salutation), “Peace be unto thee”, from the Companions of the Right Hand.
And if he is of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong,
For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water.
And burning in Hell-Fire.
Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly.
So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. (Surah Waqiah)

1. إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ
2. لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ
3. خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ
4. إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّا
5. وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّا
6. فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءً مُّنۢبَثًّا
7. وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا ثَلَٰثَةً
8. فَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ
9. وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ
10. وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ
11. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
12. فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
13. ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
14. وَقَلِيلٌ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
15. عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّوْضُونَةٍ
16. مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَٰبِلِينَ
17. يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ
18. بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ
19. لَّا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ
20. وَفَٰكِهَةٍ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ
21. وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
22. وَحُورٌ عِينٌ
23. كَأَمْثَٰلِ ٱللُّؤْلُؤِ ٱلْمَكْنُونِ
24. جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
25. لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا
26. إِلَّا قِيلًا سَلَٰمًا سَلَٰمًا
27. وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ
28. فِى سِدْرٍ مَّخْضُودٍ
29. وَطَلْحٍ مَّنضُودٍ
30. وَظِلٍّ مَّمْدُودٍ
31. وَمَآءٍ مَّسْكُوبٍ
32. وَفَٰكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ
33. لَّا مَقْطُوعَةٍ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍ
34. وَفُرُشٍ مَّرْفُوعَةٍ
35. إِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَٰهُنَّ إِنشَآءً
36. فَجَعَلْنَٰهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا
37. عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا
38. لِّأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
39. ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
40. وَثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
41. وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ
42. فِى سَمُومٍ وَحَمِيمٍ
43. وَظِلٍّ مِّن يَحْمُومٍ
44. لَّا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ
45. إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ
46. وَكَانُوا۟ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلْحِنثِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
47. وَكَانُوا۟ يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
48. أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
49. قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
50. لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
51. ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبُونَ
52. لَءَاكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍ مِّن زَقُّومٍ
53. فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ
54. فَشَٰرِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْحَمِيمِ
55. فَشَٰرِبُونَ شُرْبَ ٱلْهِيمِ
هَٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
57. نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ
58. أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ
59. ءَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُونَ
60. نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ
61. عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَٰلَكُمْ وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِى مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
62. وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
63. أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ
64. ءَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلزَّٰرِعُونَ
65. لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلْنَٰهُ حُطَٰمًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ
66. إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ
67. بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ
68. أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلْمَآءَ ٱلَّذِى تَشْرَبُونَ
69. ءَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنزِلُونَ
70. لَوْ نَشَآءُ جَعَلْنَٰهُ أُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ
71. أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى تُورُونَ
72. ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ
73. نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَٰهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَٰعًا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ
74. فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
75. فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ
76. وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمٌ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ
77. إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرْءَانٌ كَرِيمٌ
78. فِى كِتَٰبٍ مَّكْنُونٍ
79. لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ
80. تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
81. أَفَبِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ
82. وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ
83. فَلَوْلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلْحُلْقُومَ
84. وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنظُرُونَ
85. وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ
86. فَلَوْلَآ إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ
87. تَرْجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
88. فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
89. فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍ
90. وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
91. فَسَلَٰمٌ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
92. وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
93. فَنُزُلٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ
94. وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ
95. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ
96. فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

Surah al waqiah summary

From verses 1 to 50: The verses of Al-Waqi’a deal with the events of the Day of Resurrection, which is the Day of Resurrection. These verses list some of the signs of this day, such as the shaking of the earth, the wear of mountains, and the division of people. Immortals, fruits, bird meat, poplars, calmness, peace, and security.
From verses 57 to 77: In these blessed verses there is an affirmation of the resurrection and the resurrection with tangible signs visible to the eyes of people, and they are signs that a person cannot deny, such as planting plants and rain.
From verses 78 to 96: At the end of Surah Waqiah (Arabic: سورة الواقعه ), the noble verses deal with the description of the Holy Qur’an, the word of Allah preserved in the Preserved Tablet, the Book that only the pure can touch. He repented and did righteous deeds, so there will be spirit, basil, and gardens of bliss.
